Do you have difficulty accessing some of the websites out there? If so, you might find the BBC’s, My Web my way guide useful. This guide is packed with advice and help on accessibility features and assistive technologies, all of which you can customise on your own computer set up or web browser.

The guide includes information for people with impaired vision or hearing and with physical or learning disabilities. Some tips include:  how to make your keyboard or mouse easier to use; how to increase the size of fonts and change the colour of text; how to get the text read aloud for you, for instance.

The good thing about this guide is, you don’t need to wait until others make their websites more accessible, as these accessibility features enable you to customise your own computer and then you can browse away. You can check the My Web my way guide out here.
