CFN can provide respite on a regular or needs basis and in a number of ways. Options include the following –
A stay at The Retreat, CFN’s purpose-built respite accommodation, provides children or adults with a disability with the opportunity to enjoy a break or holiday away from their normal living environment. More information about the Retreat can be found here.
Social and Community Support. Linking a person with a disability to social and community activities so they have the same opportunities their peers enjoy. More information about Social and Community Support can be found here.
In Home Support provides flexible support in the family home to enable the family and/or carer to rest or attend to other responsibilities. CFN’s team of experienced staff have a range of practical skills that can assist the individual with a disability to maintain personal care routines as well as contribute to family life through increasing their life skills and subsequent independence. The Enthuse Program provides developmental opportunities for adults in the local area who want to further their skills, knowledge, personal development and increase their independent living skills. Each small group is supported by 2 facilitators. Enthuse runs during the school term on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between the hours of 9am-2.30pm.
