Pippa Rogers Connected Communities Program

Hello everyone, my name is Pippa and I have some pretty exciting news I would like to share. It’s official! I’m apart of the Moreton Bay Regional Council – Connected Communities Program. This is the first time I have been apart of a program like this and although I am little nervous, it is an opportunity I I’ve been working towards for over a year now. I started at CFN’s Enthuse Hub about two years ago and it didn’t take long before I realised these were my kind of people and a place I felt a sense of belonging.

Through the opportunities I have had at Enthuse, I’ve been able to explore my passions for social change, politics and advocacy. I’ve completed courses in sociology, guest lectured at QUT and USC, spoken with Local Members and advocacy groups and participated in research. It is important to me to have support so that I can reach goals like this, we all need a little help now and then. Participating in these workshops gives me a deep sense of achievement and value. I get to put forward my perspectives, ideas and hopefully be apart of creating an inclusive community that we can all enjoy.

Today was my first workshop and I have met so many new people and already learnt so many new things. I cant wait to share my journey with you all each week!
